Day 7 of JUICE – The last day without food and I’m pretty darn excited to eat something tomorrow!
I’ve been totally gobsmacked at how the body can function without food and actually only needs the correct amount of nutrients to keep it going. I’m feeling energetic, fit and healthy and also have impressed myself with the self control it took to not eat anything for 7 whole days (I love my food!). Definately something to do each season as a kick start to training.
Phase two of the plan, re-introducing food to the body and allowing the metabolic rate to increase naturally. Basically this means, no binging on pizza and cheese sandwichs and taking it easy for the first couple of days. Oh and of course, keep juicing!
Had a great run half way up to Le Junction at Les Bossons. It’s a hard slog uphill but so worth it for the views of the glacier, you can get so close!!! Maybe with the help of an energy bar, I might make it the 5 hours to the top. Shhhh, don’t tell Mr Vale.
